Welcome to T:Zero Multisport's annual Cairns Triathlon Training Camp.
In its second year in FNQ, the 2017 edition is without doubt will be the best camp ever produced by T:Zero!
This camp is all about long slow miles and high quality coaching with T:Zero Multisport's Head Coaches Scotty Farrell and Richard Thompson as well as T:Zero's Development Coach (and Cairns local) Monique Ralph. The camp also offers all of the personal touches like - fully supported rides, massive lunches, post training massages and informative presentations. The camp itinerary is as follows:
Friday 17 March 2017
4:00pm – Welcome Presentation - Going through the goals and expectations of the camp, details of the camp competitions being held and providing each athlete their sponsors' Welcome Pack (RRP - Over $75.00 in value) - Cairns SLSC / Smithfield
5:00pm - Swim Squad - Focused on efficiency in the water - Filming technique and going through the 5 fundamentals of how to swim faster with less effort.
6:30pm - Dinner (provided)
7:00pm – Presentation by T:Zero Multisport's Head Coaches - 'How to perform at your potential – physically, mentally and nutritionally' - Cairns SLSC / Smithfield
8:00pm - End of Day One
Saturday 18 March 2017
5:30am: 6 hour Long Endurance Ride - fully supported - (Smithfield - Gordonvale - Gillies - Atherton - Mareeba - Kuranda - Smithfield )
12:00pm: Focused recovery - Rolling session and leg flush by the T:Zero Masseuse
5:30am - 3-4 hour Long Flat Endurance Ride (Meeting at Gordonvale and doing laps towards Yarrabah and back - customised training session and coaching based on your individual ability)
9:30am - Short run off the bike
10:30am Focused recovery - Rolling session and massage by the T:Zero Masseuse
11:30am - Presentation by Coach Mon
12:30pm: Lunch (provided)
1:30pm - Presentation
2:30pm - Mobility / Core Stability Session
3:30pm - Run - Track / Speed Session + Tutorial on running efficiently and working on running drills
4:45pm - End of Day Two
Sunday 19 March 2017
5:30am – Wind Trainer / Turbo Session - BYO Trainer - Think - loud music, inspirational coaching and high intensity training
7:00am - Long Endurance Run - Road or Trail - (Group 1 – 2-2.5hours) (Group 2 – 1.5-2hours)
9:30am - Focused recovery - Rolling session and massage by the T:Zero Masseuse
10:00am - Brunch provided
10:30am - Presentation – Training peaks & QnA with the Coaches
11:30pm - Swim Session - Strength Endurance Swim Session
2pm - Yoga Session by an amazing qualified Yoga Instructor (please bring your mat if you have one)
3pm - End of the T:Zero Cairns Triathlon Training Camp
